No. Ampere makes fully electric scooters powered by batteries. E20 ethanol blending applies only to petrol vehicles. Ampere models like the Magnus, Zeal, and Primus have zero petrol consumption.
Should I buy an electric scooter to avoid E20?
If fuel compatibility concerns you, electric scooters like Ampere eliminate that worry. Running costs are also lower. Charging costs roughly Rs 15-20 for 80-100 km range, compared to Rs 150-200 of petrol for similar distance on a 60 km/l scooter.
