Royal Enfield E20 FAQ
Are Royal Enfield bikes E20 compatible?
Royal Enfield confirmed E20 compatibility for its lineup from April 2023. Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Himalayan 450, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Bullet 350, Scram 440, Guerrilla 440, Shotgun 650, and all 650cc twins are covered. RE also released E20 conversion kits for some pre-2023 models.
Can I use E20 in an older Royal Enfield?
Royal Enfield released E20 conversion kits for older bikes not originally built for higher ethanol blends. Check with your nearest RE service center for kit availability and pricing. All models manufactured from April 2023 onwards need no modification.
Does E20 affect Royal Enfield's engine life?
On E20-compatible RE models, the fuel system uses ethanol-resistant materials that prevent corrosion. The 350cc J-series engine and 650cc parallel-twin are both calibrated for E20. Pre-2023 owners without the conversion kit should get fuel lines and seals inspected every 6 months.
