Are KTM bikes E20 compatible in India?
KTM confirmed E20 compatibility from April 2024, about a year after most other brands. The full Duke range (125, 160, 200, 250, 390), all RC sport bikes, and the Adventure lineup (250 Adventure, 390 Adventure, 390 Adventure R) are E20 ready.
Can I use E20 in my KTM Duke 390?
The 390 Duke from 2024 onwards is E20 compatible. The 373cc LC4 engine's fuel injection system was recalibrated for higher ethanol content. Pre-2024 models should be checked with a KTM authorized service center.
Does E20 affect KTM bike performance?
E20's higher octane (RON 95) benefits KTM's high-compression engines by reducing knock tendency. Expect a 3-5% dip in fuel efficiency since ethanol carries less energy per litre. Peak power and throttle response remain unaffected on 2024+ models.
